Patna : 24-25 January 2020 : – Indirapuram Public School Girls, Patna hosted a two day event, Late Shree Ajit Singh Ji Memorial Inter School Fest, CREO 2020, Season 3 in collaboration with Tarumitra India with the theme Carbon 2.0.
The purpose of the theme Carbon 2.0 was to encourage young participants propose innovative ideas to reduce the size of carbon footprint by activities like ‘Semblance – best out of waste’, ‘Kala Sangam based on the theme ‘The planet in peril’ , Apparel Deseno’ a t- shirt designing activity, ‘ Sanchetna’ a nukkadnatak and many more activities related to the theme.
On the first day of the event commenced with a welcome speech by Headmistress Ms. Deepa Sharan followed by lighting of the lamp by the chief guest Dr. Ashok Ghosh (chairman of Bihar state Pollution Control Board and HOD, Research at Mahavir Cancer Sansthan Research Centre) Guests of honour Dr. Father Robert Athickal ( Founder, Tarumitra), Father Tony Pendanath ( Director, Tarumitra), Mr. Vishal Singh (Chairman, IPSG Group), Ms.Rita (Group Director ) honourable guests/ judges, Dr. Pallavi Biswas (Director, Kalakaksh, Nrivaga Sangeet Academy), Ms. Soma Jha Anand (Painter), Special guests Ms. Shweta Surbhi (Radio Jockey, Big FM, Patna) , Ms. Devopriya Dutta (co- ordinator, Tarumitra). Around 300 participants from 15 different schools of Patna showcased their talent in a plethora of green activities. Honourable Headmistress Ms. Deepa Sharan stated that such thematic activities are very important to make participants more aware and conscious of environmental issues.
On the second day (25th January 2020) Indirapuram Public School Girls, Patna organised the Valedictory ceremony of the Late Shree Ajit Singh Ji Memorial Inter School Fest, CREO 2020 with a punch of excitement and grandeur on day 2 of the event.
The highlight of the event was ‘green interaction’ by Dr. Father Robert Athickal (Founder, Tarumitra) Father Tony Pendanath (Director, Tarumitra) in which they emphasized on the ways to practice environmental awareness by conserving energy, conserving water, recycling of waste materials etc. followed by a green qawwali. The event concluded with award distribution ceremony. The Creo 2020 rolling Champion’s trophy was awarded to Radiant International School who scored the highest no. Of credit points to emerge as the winners of this two days inter school fest. Schools like St. Karens Senior Secondary School, Bishop Scott Girls School, Mount Litera Zee School, Bradford International School and Indiapuram Public School, Girls left the mark by showing their extraordinary talent in the competition and won awards in various other activities throughout the event. Ms. Rita Singh(Group director, IGI) & Mr. Vishal Singh (Chairman, IGI) handed over the trophy to the winning team amidst loud cheers!!
The vote of thanks was proposed by academic co- ordinator Ms. Rishibala. The day ended with a promise to return next year with more of theme based diversified activities.
